I don’t know about
you, but I’m busy.
I know I’ve written
blog posts about this too. Recently, in fact.
And I’m not
complaining. Not at all. Because being busy means I have a lot going on. And
having a lot going on, in my mind, means I’m blessed. I have a full life, with
satisfying work, amazing friends and family, and a passion for living.
But sometimes, that
can all get overwhelming.
So we take little
breaks. We need them. Without them, our engines would keep running full steam
ahead—and would eventually explode.
And of course, that
would be bad.
So I’ve been
thinking: What if we all just slowed down? Just for a day? Even for a weekend
if we could manage it?
How amazing would
that be?
How refreshed would
we feel?
To take time to just…be?
To enjoy those things you don’t often get to do, simply because you’re going,
going, going?
Well, I’m taking
that challenge. I cleared off most of this weekend for just that purpose.
Hardly any plans.
Time to relax, read,
write, reflect.
And I couldn’t be
more stoked.
I’d issue the challenge to you as well. Is there a day or
an entire weekend that you can devote to relaxation, rejuvenation, and
enjoyment? What would you do on a day like that?
*In honor of Labor
Day, I’ll be taking a short blogging break on Monday.
